A studio service
Crossword books, grid, clues and answers as one page.
A crossword is three things that have to agree: the grid, the clue list and the answer. We design crossword puzzle books where all three are built together, numbered to match, checked against each other and laid out so the solver never flips back and forth to find a clue.

N° 01What goes in the book
Every kind of crossword page.
01
Themed crosswords
Grids built around a subject: gardens, travel, food, a decade, a hobby, so the book has a reason to exist.
02
Easy, medium and hard sections
Grid size and clue style change with the level, and the level is stated on each page.
03
Large-print crosswords
Bigger squares, bigger clue type and fewer clues per page, laid out again rather than enlarged.
04
Picture crosswords for children
Picture clues in place of written ones, for early readers and family books.
05
Codeword and arrow-word variants
Related grid puzzles that use the same production system.
06
Answer grids
A filled grid for every puzzle at the back, numbered to match and small enough not to tempt.
N° 02The part that goes wrong
Clues on one page, grid on another.
01
The grid and clues separated
A clue list that runs onto the next spread makes the solver turn pages mid-puzzle. Grid and clues are planned to sit together.
02
Numbering that drifts
Clue numbers, grid numbers and answer numbers are generated from one source so they cannot disagree.
03
Squares too small for handwriting
Cell size is set for a pencil at print size. Large-print books get larger cells, not just larger type.
04
Borrowed puzzles
Grids copied from newspapers or other books are a rights problem. Ours are built for your book.
N° 03How it runs
Plan first, artwork after.
01
1. Page plan
We agree the themes, the number of puzzles at each level, the grid sizes and whether there is a large-print edition, then list every puzzle before building the grids.
02
2. Sample pages
Two or three finished pages in the agreed look, so you approve the style and the difficulty before the rest is made.
03
3. Full interior
Every page produced to the plan, with answers or instructions where the format needs them, then one consolidated round of changes.
04
4. Cover and files
Cover design, front matter and print-ready files at your trim size, set to your printer's or platform's template.

N° 05Questions
The answers we give most often.
- Do you write the clues?
- Yes, to the theme and level you set, or we lay out clues and grids you have already written and check that they agree.
- Can you make a large-print crossword book?
- Yes. Large print is a separate layout with bigger squares and clue type, which means fewer puzzles per page and usually a bigger trim size.
- How many crosswords should a book have?
- Enough for the price point you want. Many paperback crossword books carry between 50 and 100 puzzles; the count is fixed in the page plan.
- Can it be printed through Amazon KDP?
- Yes. It is a black-and-white paperback at a standard or large trim size, and we set the files to KDP's template or your printer's.
- Do I own the puzzles?
- Yes, with full commercial rights and the source files.
