A second-grade workbook has to look nothing like a kindergarten one, and the difference is more than the sums. We design and illustrate practice workbooks for one grade at a time, kindergarten to grade 5, for authors, tutors and small publishers.

One template stretched across grades
Line spacing, type size, problem count and illustration style all change by grade. Each book is laid out for its year.

Decoration behind the work
Illustration sits at the edges and never under the working area, so the page copies and marks cleanly.

Wrong answers in the key
Every exercise is worked and the key is checked against the final page, because an error in the key is the one parents find.

Content that is not yours
Passages and problems copied from other workbooks are a rights problem. You supply or approve the content; we design and illustrate it.

We agree the grade, the subjects, the standards or scheme you follow and the unit order, then list every page before layout.

2. Sample pages
Two or three finished pages in the agreed look, so you approve the style and the difficulty before the rest is made.

3. Full interior
Every page produced to the plan, with answers or instructions where the format needs them, then one consolidated round of changes.

4. Cover and files
Cover design, front matter and print-ready files at your trim size, set to your printer's or platform's template.

Page counts above are caps. A longer book, extra revision rounds or a second language are quoted in writing before we start them.

The answers we give most often.
- Do you write the exercises?
- We lay out and illustrate the content you supply or approve, and work every exercise to build the answer key. If you need problems generated to a specification, say so in the brief and it is quoted in writing.
- Can the workbook follow Common Core or another scheme?
- Yes. Send the standards or scheme and the unit order you follow and the page plan is mapped to it. We design the pages; we do not certify alignment.
- Which page size works best?
- Most practice workbooks print at 8.5 x 11 inches so the working area is generous. We set the files to the trim your printer or platform offers.
- Is this different from your preschool and school workbook pages?
- Yes. The preschool page covers pre-K skills such as tracing. The school workbooks page is for schools commissioning around their own mascot and curriculum. This page is for grade-level workbooks sold to parents and tutors.
- Do I own the pages?
- Yes, with full commercial rights and the editable files.
